We have all been there…… we get all excited to grab that latest freebie, put it in a little pile or drawer and then what…… nothing. I have found old shampoo packets and tiny toothpaste tubes that I truly have no clue how old they are. So, why is it that we don’t use them right away? With me, I think I truly just forget. I have come up with some ideas that is going to help me kick the freebie pile up.
- Give them to my kids – kids would love to have those tiny deodorants to have in their gym locker or school locker.
- Fill a purse – Have you ever given someone a new purse, like your mom or sister? How about filling it with all the odds and end that go in a purse…. lotion, trial tampons, dry shampoo packs, and perfume. Now it is a gift within a gift.
- Keep an emergency kit in the car – What better place for all those trial meds, bandaids and feminine products.
- Gift tags – try putting a hole puncher through the corner of the soft packs of shampoo, conditioner, face creams and perfume. Tie them to your gift package with a tag and you have a cute little way of adding something special.
- Have trial week- Just like you might do to clean out your pantry once a month and come up with creative meals to go through your over stock. Declare a trial week and try to use up all that shampoo, body wash and toothpaste; it will save a little on the budget too 🙂
- Donate- Though this isn’t a new idea, it is a great one!!!! Especially if it can’t benefit your family, I’m sure someone out there would be thrilled!!!!
If you have any ideas to add, please let us know!!!! I would love to hear what you have to say!
