Disclosure: I am partnering with Mom It Forward and BODYARMOR to share with you their new drinks – All thoughts and opinions are my own
It takes a lot of effort to get me out to the gym to exercise, especially during the winter! The last thing I want to be doing is exercising in the cold, wind and the rain. I would much rather be curled up on my couch, watching a good movie with a cup of coffee and a few cookies. Needless to say it is hard to get motivated especially with short dark days and lack of outdoor activities. So it is time to get creative with your mind AND your body and don’t let the Winter funk take over your fitness.
Get a FitBit – This has done wonders for my motivation, especially when having a friendly competition with friends and family. You may also be surprised…. most likely, you are not getting nearly as many steps as you thing you are.
Roller Skating – If you are lucky enough to have a local roller skating rink, you should really check out what they have to offer. For years I have attended “Tiny Tot Skate” with my little ones, they actually host a “mini” class and allowed strollers on the rink while you skate. For a fun fit night, I attend 90’s Skate Night with my friends, we skate and boogie to all our high school songs
Check Out A Community Center – Many community centers and even middle or high schools offer drop-in recreational team sports. Get a little fitness, teamwork and community with FREE or low fee volleyball or basketball.
Mall Walking – This doesn’t have to be your Grandma’s walking club. Walking in a large, warm area, especially when you add friends, can be a great way to mindlessly get fit. *Tip, keep you wallet or money at home to prevent any “treat” temptations.
Try something NEW – With deals sites like Groupon and LivingSocial, they will always be something new to try… want to Crossfit? How about an acrobat class… or maybe Bollywood dancing…. the options are endless.
Reward Yourself – Sometime a good old reward system works best! Treat Yo’ Self!!!! Get a massage, pedicure or cute new gym outfit if you meet your fitness goals for the weeks! No cheating 😉
Stay Hydrated – Just water won’t cut it AND it can be boring! I highly advise you try BODYARMOR! BODYARMOR Sports Drink is a premium, sports drink that provides superior hydration. It is packed with electrolytes, coconut water and vitamins and is low in sodium and high in potassium. BODYARMOR contains all natural flavors and sweeteners and no colors from artificial sources. BODYARMOR Sports Drink now comes in 11 flavors, but I am in love with the NEW BODYARMOR LYTE, which has all the same nutrients as BODYARMOR but is naturally sweetened and has only 20 calories per serving; and BODYARMOR water. BODYARMOR LYTE comes in two great flavors: Peach Mango and Cherry Berry. BODYARMOR LYTE is heavy on hydration and LYTE on calories.
Everything mentioned above won’t matter if you aren’t hydrated, you will feel sluggish and lazy if your body is struggling to stay hydrated. I know it is hard to remember to keep that drink near and close to you during the Winter but remember, up to 60% of the human adult body is water and it doesn’t need to be hot out to get dehydrated.
BODYARMOR SportWater is a premium water, designed by athletes, for athletes. It has a Performance pH of 8+ and a proprietary Sports Electrolyte formula, plus a wide-mouth bottle for faster, Superior Hydration.
What to give it a try for yourself? BODYARMOR is available at a Fred Meyer store near you! You can even snag yourself a money saving coupon right HERE from the BODYARMOR website. This Fred Meyer coupon is for a $1 download-to-card coupon on the purchase of 2 BODYARMOR SportWater products.
