When you have a large family like I do and trying to be on a tight budget, there doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for expensive entertainment. Now you many not think spending $10 on a movie ticket is too bad but when you are a family of 9 that is $90, on only 2hours of entertainment. Because of this, much of our family entertainment is done at home, we do a lot of movies, games, crafts and music to keep everyone happy.
The best way to save on movies, games and CD’s are to buy and sell used. I don’t think that I have bought a brand new movie, game, or CD in years. I have either gone to my local CD exchange stores or used online stores. They come with the best of all sides…. you can buy your media very cheap, you are guaranteed you CD works vs. buying at a thrift shop or garage sale, you can find older or and more rare items but the best thing of all is….. if you don’t like the game or movie you can trade or sell it back.
I love that I am also able to bring in CD’s and games that I have had for years and that my kids have out grown or are bored with. By selling my old CD’s, movies and games I get instant credit to purchase new items for my family without having to hold a garage sale or waiting for a tax deduction.
Say good buy to Redbox fees and high price tickets and price tags and say hello you media and entertainment freedom!!!!
