Pippinis back for the first time since it thrilled audiences 40 years ago. This was my very first time being introduced to the Broadway performance of Pippin. I must say, I was so impressed with the talent and entertainment that was packed into these 3 hours.
“Experience the thrilling 2013 Tony Award®-winning musical PIPPIN – described as “An eye-popping, jaw-dropping, VISUALLY STUNNING extravaganza. THE THRILL OF THE SEASON!” by NY1″
The talent went way beyond my expectations not only were they are amazing actors and actresses but they were wonderful singers, dancers, acrobatics and magicians. Some of the special effects we’re way beyond comprehension.
Since this is my first time ever follow in the story of Pippin I didn’t really know quite what to expect and I think there’s a lot of room for interpretation but mainly it is a story about Pippins’ journey through life and what it means to him.
The bright colors, lively songs and humorous jokes are just a few of the treats you will be in for. My favorite character is the Grandmother and the King. The audience interaction was really fun have made you love the characters even more!
Parents should know that there are a few sexy and suggestive moments in the play however I don’t think they were untasteful. I personally really enjoyed it but it may not be great for audiences of a really young age.
If you’re wanting to catch Pippen while it is in Portland,I highly suggest you visit their website and secure your tickets now as they are only performing for less than a week.
