October is one of my favorite months of the year and one good reason is that it is National Pizza Month! Across the nation people are celebrating their favorite pizzas. I have always said, if I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life… it would be pizza!! Regardless of your favorite, you should absolutely join in the celebration.
One of the coolest promotions going right now is over at our Walmart stores. This nationwide promotion offers a
pretty great way to save on some of our favorite pizza ingredients, making a super easy and inexpensive meal. When you purchase specially marked packages of Mama Mary’s® Pizza Crust during the months of October and November, there will be five dollars worth of coupons added in a booklet that is attached to the packaging.
You can get awesome discounts on Dole® Pineapple, Cabot® Cheese, Kikkoman® Teriyaki, Barilla® Sauce, and Filippo Berio® Olive Oil…PLUS some great recipes if you are the creative type that likes to try new and different combinations!
I made my favorite recipe Amber’s Easy Caprese Pizza
Start with Mama Mary’s Pizza Crust
Smear 2tbs of Olive Oil on crust and 1tbs of crushed garlic
Add Pesto sauce (I used Barilla)
Top the pizza off with 1.5 cups of pizza cheese, Sliced Cherry tomatoes and drops of Ricotta Cheese.
Bake at 400 for 8-9 minutes – ENJOY!
Another really cool thing about this promotion is that it includes some promotional materials for a really cool tween book called DEX. This really cool novel was written by Sheri Lynn Fishbach and was released back in early August. It’s the story of a gawky, lovesick amateur chef that opens a gourmet lunch stand right out in his front lawn. The book is supposed to be written for ages eight and up and most foodies absolutely adore it.
While the promotion at Walmart is certainly something you should pay attention to, it is important not to lose the message about Mama Mary’s Pizza Crust. If you like to make homemade pizzas and are tired of them coming out alternately mushy and or doughy, Mama Mary’s is exactly what you are looking for.
This crust allows for you to build your very own pizza with all of your favorite toppings. You can even get the personal sized pizzas and have one for everyone in your family. While heading out to eat is fun, making your own special and unique recipe is far better. The fact that you can get this crust at a discount along with all the toppings makes this an absolute must for my shopping list when I head out to Walmart over the next two months.
