Extra! Extra! Read all about it! You heard it right, Newsies is coming to PDX this week. From April 19th until April 24th , you can enjoy the upbeat and inspiring music and the incredible dancing of the musical Newsies in the Keller Auditorium. Like every other show played in the Keller Auditorium, you get to experience the excitement and incredible talent of Broadway on your own hometown stage.
Based on true events, Newsies tells the captivating story of a band of underdogs who become unlikely heroes when they stand up to the most powerful men in New York. It’s a rousing tale about fighting for what’s right…and staying true to who you are.
You will walk away humming the catchy tunes for days and feel inspired by what these brave newsboys do. Tickets start at only $25 If you are in need, ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation is available during the Thursday, April 21, 2016 7:30pm performance.
The production features Joey Barreiro as “Jack Kelly”, Steve Blanchard as “Joseph Pulitzer”, Morgan Keene as“Katherine”, Aisha de Haas as “Medda Larkin”, Stephen Michael Langton as “Davey”, Zachary Sayle as “Crutchie”, and Turner Birthisel and Ethan Steiner alternating the role of “Les.”
