After having 6 children, I know what it’s like to have sleepless nights…. whether it is to feed, sooth, or to follow that gut wrenching motherly instinct that is telling you to just get up and go take a peek on the baby, I know it can be exhausting. Being a parent comes with so many exciting and challenging experiences but sometimes it can be easy to loose the “old”you. Parenthood can be a time for evolution of finding a new you and a new normal. But, the thing to remember is to never let the old you go and never let your talents, hobbies, relationships and dreams go to the wayside.

Since Dana Vollmer had become a new mother last March, her family never let her forget that she was Dana before she became Mom!!! They encouraged her to follow her dream of going to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. With her whole families love and support, she is pushing hard to achieve her goal and is hoping to set an example to her son, Arlen and to all the other new (and even experienced) Moms and Dads out there, to never give up on your goals and to never stop dreaming.

Dana was asked, 

Why are you here today? / Why are you partnering with Pampers?

Dana Responded, “Ever since I became a mom, my whole world has changed.  Yes, I still have the goal of winning a gold medal at this year’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games, but it’s my family’s dream, not just my dream.  As a mother, nothing compares to the love I feel for my child and my desire for him to achieve anything and everything he sets his mind to”.

I think that is a beautiful way to live life, support each other and to set an example. I hope I am teaching my children to never stop dreaming, learning and setting new goals!
