The Atmosphere at Moulin Rouge! The Musical is Terrific
Coupled with the incredible scenery and costumes, the atmosphere at Moulin Rouge! The Musical is truly terrific. The audience was completely engrossed in the show, cheering and clapping along. Courtney Reed is dazzling as Satine, and Conor Ryan charmingly awkward as Christian. The show is witty and the best set I have ever seen on Broadway.
I Left Feeling Like I Had Experienced Something Special and Unique
After experiencing Moulin Rouge! The Musical in Portland, Oregon, it was clear that the show was more than just a flashy show. The original music and score was essential to the story line and gave the show a unique feel that appealed to everyone. The singing was fabulous and the show was a thrilling burst of color, chorus, nostalgia and bold reimagining. It was a mashup of different movie references and gimmicks, yet I left feeling like I had experienced something special and unique. The cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical made it truly a magical experience.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is the winner of ten 2021 Tony Awards including Best Musical, two Drama League Awards including Outstanding Production of a Musical, five Drama Desk Awards and ten Outer Critics Circle Award Honor citations including New Broadway Musical.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened to critical acclaim at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the Summer of 2019 and reopened in September 2021 following the shutdown of Broadway due to the pandemic.

Broadway in Portland’s top priority continues to be the safety of our audiences, artists, volunteers, staff, and the community. Beginning September 13, 2022, Broadway in Portland will no longer require proof of vaccination OR a negative PCR test.
Broadway in Portland strongly encourages and recommends when attending a performance, that all audience members wear a mask over their nose and mouth. We ask that all audience members be respectful of each other’s choices.
Broadway in Portland management is continually assessing the changing guidelines, artist contracts, and local government updates. We reserve the right to require health and safety protocols for all performances. We will proactively communicate any change in health protocols with advance notice.
Additional safety protocols in place at Keller Auditorium include digital ticketing, rigorous cleaning and disinfection practices, hand sanitation stations and the use of MERV 13 filters for increased air filtration.
