Handmade Orange and Vanilla Stained-Glass Soap
This easy to make Handmade Orange and Vanilla Stained-Glass Soap is amazing quality and perfect for gifts.
Supplies:
1. ½ pound glycerin soap base. I used goats milk, but you can use whatever you like.
2. Soap Cubes by ArtMinds™, found at Michaels Craft Stores. If you do not have a Michaels near you, these can be purchased
from them online. You can also take store-bought colored soap and cut it into cubes.
3. Add 5-10 drops orange essential oil
4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5. 1 teaspoon coconut oil
6. 1 teaspoon olive oil
7. 1 teaspoon sweet almond oil
8. 5 drops vanilla soap or candle scent (optional)
9. Spray bottle of rubbing alcohol
10. Soap mold
Instructions:
Step 1: Cut the soap base into squares and place into a microwave safe bowl.
Step 2: Heat at 30 second intervals until melted.
Step 3: Add coconut oil to the bowl.
Step 4: Add olive oil to the bowl.
Step 5: Add sweet almond oil.
Step 6: Add orange essentials oil.
Step 7: Add vanilla extract.
Step 8: Add vanilla soap scent (optional).
Step 9: Spray the bottom of the soap mold with the rubbing alcohol to avoid bubbles.
Step 10: Gently pour soap mixture into mold. Leave about ¼” from soap line to top of mold to allow room for soap cubes.
Step 11: Arrange soap cubes into soap mixture.
Step 12: Spray the top of the soap with the rubbing alcohol.
Allow to harden for at least an hour. Gently pop out and store in an airtight container or ziplock bag until ready to use
