Nothing is more excited for a mother to be than having a baby shower. This is a time of celebration and togetherness, where mothers, grandmothers, and friends come together and celebrate you in this wonderful bliss that you are about to begin. The sad thing is, many mothers-to-be who are having their second, third, fourth and so on child, feel ashamed to have a baby shower for subsequent children. I personally feel that all women and new babies should be celebrated. And that is why there is a new thing called “A Baby Sprinkle”. A baby sprinkle in as a miniaturized version of a baby shower.
After having your first big baby shower, you may not be in need of additional large items like cribs, strollers or highchairs but every baby could certainly use cute new bibs, baby bottles, baby wash and of course stacks and stacks of Luv’s diapers.
The thing about having your second, third or fourth baby is you are a little bit more experienced, a little wiser and you now realize what’s really important.
It is not necessary to have the latest and greatest gizmos and gadgets but rather invest in the items you know are going to work like Luv’s diapers. With Luv’s diapers you get quality with no frills, at a price you will love.
If you have a friend or family member that is expecting their second or later child, consider surprising them with the baby sprinkle. You know they will be thrilled to pieces and it is easy to put one together with minimal creativity or money.
Here are just a few ideas to follow out this theme.
-If you have children of yourself, consider getting them involved in the fun. You can give them construction paper and a hole punch and let them go to town cutting out little circles for confetti. With those circles you could sprinkle them around the table, you could put them in balloons, you can even stick them inside the invitations.
-I enjoyed getting a large jar of sprinkles from a big box store and included them in all my decorations.
-Try making White Chocolate Sprinkled Pretzel Rods, not only are they a great decoration but a delicious treat. These are extremely easy to make and even let my 12-year-old take advantage of helping out.
- Melt 1 package of real white chocolate baking bar in the microwave ( stir often and do not over cook)
- Apply chocolate to approx. 3/4th of a pretzel rod with the back of a spoon or spatula
- Apply sprinkles on top of chocolate – set aside to fully harden
Display in a cute bowl or bucket. You can even package them in a plastic bag or bow as a parting gift.
– Another super easy themed craft is so simple very inexpensive, Sprinkle Topped Candles
- Pick up five plain white candles from the dollar store.
- Making sure you have a cup of sprinkles ready to go, heat the top of each candle with a hairdryer on high heat.
- Once you see the top of the candle melt throughout, immediately dip the candle in your bowl of sprinkles. Give it a minute to set and harden, then brush off any excess sprinkles hanging off the edge.
The smallest details are what really pull this party together, I added sprinkle accents to the ice cream sundae bowls and rimmed Italian soda cups just by first dipping them in lime juice the dip the cup in a bowl of sprinkles….. so easy.
If you throw in a simple game, like the candy bar game (you can search different variations) and, some plates you will have and instant party!
I just love throwing parties and spending time with friend and family, that is truly what is priceless in life. I know life can be busy but with these simple ideas and with little cost, you will be able to shower…. I mean “sprinkle” that special mom to be in your life and let them know they are truly loved.
Congrats to my dear friend, I am very proud of you, you are an amazing mother and your children are very lucky to have you as their mother. You look so beautiful!!!
